Shelli obtained her music degree from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey – a university that is nationally acclaimed for its jazz music program. While there, she had the privilege of studying and performing with such distinguished jazz artists as bassist Rufus Reid, guitarist Vic Juris, pianists Norm Simmons, Jim McNeely, and Noreen Grey Lienhard, and drummer Horace Arnold.
Prior to moving to the New England area a few years ago, Shelli performed for several years with two other big bands in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area – the “Silver Starlite Orchestra” and the “Moonlighters Swing Orchestra.”
Shelli has recorded two CD‘s thus far. Her first CD features live recordings with the Silver Starlite Orchestra of several treasured classics from the Great American Songbook. Her second CD features more jazz standards with acclaimed musicians Leonieke Scheuble, Steve Ash, Joel Perry, Tim Givens and Nick Scheuble.
Shelli also performs as a solo pianist/vocalist on the concert stage, in restaurants, and at private functions.
