Rob Cary

Trumpet

Rob grew up in the Western United States and was not musically inclined at all until one day at 9 years old, he heard Herb Alpert and the Tijauana Brass. He's been playing the trumpet ever since. His music collection went from nothing to over 100 albums in one year to include timeless greats like Harry James, Louis Armstrong, Al Hirt, Doc Severinsen, Bill Chase, Maynard Ferguson, and the odd-time-signature master Don Ellis. Rob's passion for jazz has taken him all across the country to play the Reno Jazz Festival, Hollywood, Stan Kenton at Redlands University, the mid-west, and the East coast. "Music has provided a tremendous sense of accomplishment and satisfaction for me. Jazz may not be my career, but it certainly is my passion.
