Gail McCarthy

Affectionately known as the "den mother" of the NLSB, Gail has been with the group from its beginning, holds down the 3rd alto sax chair, and is the band manager.

She is a former member of the Seacoast Wind Ensemble. During her 20 years with the SWE she held the positions of librarian, publicity manager and concert production manager.

In her other musical life, Gail plays traditional Irish music on her whistle and bodhran (Irish drum).

Gail retired in March, 2014 after nearly 20 years as manager and booking agent for world renowned pianist Frederick Moyer
